Meet Our Team

  • Dr.
    Dan Lendman

    Dr. Dan graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. He has lived in Boone County for 18 years. He is married to Dr. Sherry Aardsma and together they own State Street Animal Clinic. He has three children and many pets. In his spare time Dr. Dan enjoys golfing and fishing, especially fly fishing.

    Sherry Aardsma

    Dr. Sherry graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995.She is married to Dr. Dan Lendman and they have owned the State Street Animal Clinic since 2006. She enjoys spending time with her three children and many pets.

    Chris Lendman

    Dr. Chris Lendman is a 1984 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been practicing in the Rockford area for the past 30 years. His special interests include dermatology and stifle surgery. His favorite hobby is spending time at his cabin up north fishing.

    Bob Loeding

    Dr. Bob grew up in McHenry, IL where he attended MCC for two years. He then graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 along with classmates Dr. Dan Lendman and Dr. Sherry Aardsma. While not working Dr. Bob enjoys fishing and camping with his wife Michelle,their four boys,and his dog Sugar.

    Sarah Sapp

    Dr, Sarah earned her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin Veterinary School in 2013. Before vet school she completed her bachelors degree in Animal Science and Chemistry at the University of Illinois. After graduating she worked at a humane society before joining State Street Animal Clinic in 2013. Dr. Sarah's interests include internal medicine and dentistry. She loves working with owners to provide the best possible care. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping and playing soccer. She shares her home with her husband, son and two cats.

    Alison Baker

    Dr. Alison was born and raised in Woodstock, IL. She received a BA in biology from Carthage College and completed her DVM at Iowa State University in 2017. She joined State Street Animal Clinic in June of 2017. Outside of work Dr. Alison is training Money, her next agility Aussie, and trying to keep her Siamese cat Charlie out of trouble.

    Office Manager/Veterinary Technician

    Cassie began working as a veterinary technician in 1990 and joined State Street Animal Clinic in 1997. She is now the office manager of the Clinic. She has a chocolate Labrador named Dolly whom she adopted two years ago. In her free time she enjoys riding motorcycles, reading and spending time with family.

    Veterinary Technician

    Teresa began working as a veterinary technician at State Street Animal Clinic in 1995. She has gotten to know many different clients and their animals over the years and loves seeing their new puppies and kittens become healthy adults. Teresa lives with her husband Mike and their Golden Retriever Hawk. She enjoys going to her cabin in the U.P. of Michigan, snowmobiling, riding her Harley and spending time with her family.

    Veterinary Technician

    Brandy began working as a veterinary technician at State Street Animal Clinic 1995. She loves seeing so many different pets throughout the day and takes pride in being an advocate for all animals. Brandy lives with her husband Jim, their 20 year old cat Nike, Reggie, their rescue dog,and Simon, their 14 year old potbelly pig. While not at work she enjoys exploring the outdoors, biking, cooking and family camping trips with their sons Jimmy and Cody.

    Veterinary Technician

    Adrienne began working as a veterinary technician at State Street Animal Clinic in 1996. She loves working with all of the sweet animals that come to see us at the clinic. Adrienne lives in Belvidere with her husband and two daughters. She has a Golden Retriever named Lilo and a crazy cat named Stitch-'Big Disney Fans'. Her girls keep her pretty busy and when she has down time she loves to cook and bake.

    Veterinary Technician

    Susan began working as a veterinary technician at State Street Animal Clinic in 2001. Her special interests include surgery, dentals, and radiography. Outside work she enjoys spending time with her awesome children and husband. Together they take care of their dog Ray and their Guinea Pig Weedle.

    Veterinary Technician

    Liz began working as a veterinary technician in 2004 and joined State Street Animal Clinic in 2007. She has a passion for helping animals and loves the interesting field of veterinary medicine. She has two dogs - Mickey, a Golden Retriever mix and Gotti, a Beagle mix. She also has three cats - Jane, Jurnee and Quantum.

    Veterinary Technician

    Amanda has been a veterinary technician at State Street Animal Clinic since 2013. She loves all animals, especially dogs. She has a black Labrador named Wrangler who keeps her little boys entertained. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors and watching movies.

    Veterinary Technician

    Jessie joined State Street Animal Clinic as a veterinary technician in 2013. She and her family have two dogs and a cat, but many times have an extra house guest or two being that they pet sit a lot of the time. Jessie loves being able to spend time family and friends, but some of her favorite things are camping, shopping and enjoying a good latte.

    CVT

    Sara began working at State Street Animal Clinic as a CVT in 2014. She graduated from Rockford Career College with her Associates in Animal Science. In her free time she likes to relax with her family and take trips to the lake in Wisconsin.

    CVT

    Sarah received her Associates degree as a CVT from Rockford Career College. She joined State Street Animal Clinic in 2014. Sarah loves animals of all kinds.She has a dog,Miller,turtles and multiple fish. In her free time she loves spending time with her family, camping and kayaking.

  • Erin

    Erin is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying Animal Sciences. She is awaiting her acceptance letter from Hogwarts or veterinary school, whichever comes first. In her free time she enjoys playing piano, softball and tennis.

  • Kylee

    Kylee is a kennel technician at State Street Animal Clinic. She is a full time college student with a passion for veterinary care. She has decided to further her education in veterinary medicine and business administration in hopes of one day opening an animal shelter of her own. In her free time she loves to listen to music, spend time with family and friends and play with her cats and dogs.

    CVT

    Catherine graduated in August 2017 with an Associates degree in Animal Sciences and received her CVT shortly after. She joined State Street Animal Clinic in 2017. Outside of work she likes to spend time with her husband,two children,and her dog Bucky.

  • Abby
    Veterinary Technician

    Abby started with State Street Animal Clinic as a veterinary technician in 2017. She has grown up with livestock and small animals and enjoys working with all of them. Outside of work she enjoys riding her horse Dallas, playing with her four crazy Labradors, and spending time with her 10 siblings.

    CVT

    Haley graduated from Rockford Career College in 2016 and joined State Street Animal Clinic in 2017. She has one dog, two cats, one bird and a variety of fish. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and friends, going to amusement/waterparks, fishing and relaxing while watching movies.
